Why do we manufacture Double Dark Solution?
Double Dark solution is one of the newest
stock solutions formulated by Norvell.
Double Dark was introduced at the request of
many of our customers. This solution
is recommended for SPECIAL EVENT TANNING
ONLY! Double Dark solution does NOT
produce NATURAL tanning results, and does
not conform to Norvell's idea of a Natural,
Healthy-Looking Tan.
When would Norvell recommend using Double
Dark?
Norvell only recommends using Double Dark
for SPECIAL EVENT Tanning and clients who
have a naturally dark - dark skin tone.

This solution is for clients who are not
concerned with the long term results of a
sunless tan. They are looking to be tan
Right Now! Double Dark Bronzing solution
contains double the levels of cosmetic
bronzers found in Norvell's Dark Bronzing
Solution. This solution is best suited for
the darkest of skin tones, and is ideal
for clients who desire the richest of
instant color. With the additional cosmetic
bronzers, the client will experience patchy
wear off, and uneven lasting results.
What are the precautions that need to be
taken when spraying Double Dark solution?
It is important to understand that the level
of instant bronzers found in Double Dark
solution is highly concentrated,
creating the darkest in
instant color of all the Norvell Solutions.
It is very important to convey to the client
the additional bronzers are cosmetic only
and the DHA (long term) results are no
greater than our Dark Solution. The cosmetic
bronzers do offer slight residual color, and
may enhance the tanning results, however a
majority of the color will disappear during
the first shower.
Norvell in no way recommends Double Dark for
daily salon use! Double Dark solution
is NOT recommend for fair or extremely light
skinned individuals. You cannot turn
Snow White into an Island Goddess!
The instant color appears darker that the
natural color produced by the DHA, clients
tan will appear to fade quickly and the
majority of the tan will wash down the drain
with their first shower.
Double Dark instant bronzers will rub and
wear-off prior to the clients first shower.
This will be extremely visible in the
following areas: knees, elbows, waist band,
bra bands, and anywhere clothing may rub
over the course of the day. This
rubbing/wear-off will result in a patchy
look and uneven results. It is
important to let your clients know this
prior to the tanning session.
Uneducated clients and Technicians may
produce results that leave the client
unhappy with their spray tanning experience,
as well as the technician with the product
performance. Knowing how Double Dark
solution works can combat any issues that
may arise, and educating customers on what
to expect will keep them happy, referral
giving and coming back for additional
tanning sessions themselves!
